Is it really necessary to excel in school.

Is it really necessary to excel in school. 4.0 GPA, College Bound, BA, BS,MA,MA, Ph.D. Is higher learning a requirement or are we ok with that high school diploma or GED. It is stated that the better jobs are available for those who seek additional education, but is it of value for everyone. Is it too our benefit to learn at every opportunity, to gain knowledge at every turn? Do we need to be formally trained and educated to make it, or is it just another system to put us further in debt? What is the value of education? Robert Drakes and panel talk it out.
